The new E-mail Update has arrived

Welcome to our new and improved e-mail update.  I know, I know, it’s been a long time since our last e-mail update.  Unfortunately some behind the scenes technical distractions (such as the unscrupulous hosting company that decided to triple our rate and hijack our files until we paid up) have kept these updates from coming on a regular basis.  Well we are happy to report that all those problems have now been sorted out and it looks to be smooth sailing from here on out.

A new feature we have added is the “Latest News Headlines” section below.  Each update will now contain links to some of the latest breaking news in the Christian metal underground.  Have some news to report?  E-mail us at staff@blastbeats.com

Cornerstone 2007 is in the books and it was another great yeat. Cd sales we up this year, so apparently I'm not the only one left who does not own an Ipod. Even though it is a busy week for us at the booth I still managed to get out and catch a few shows. Some of the highlights included X-sinner and Bloodgood (with Oz Fox) on old school metal night, Crimson Moonlight, and some of the Bombworks Day of Metal bands including Common Yet Forbidden, Lo Ruhamah and Frosthardr.

As usual we sold a lot of used cds at the festival this year, so now is a good time to weed through your collection and do some trading as we have plenty of holes in our used section that need to be filled. You already have the songs loaded on your Ipod anyway right?

So that’s it for the new and (hopefully) improved update.  Love it?  Hate it?  Don’t Care?  Send us an e-mail and let us know.

Thanks

Alan Tregoning

Common Yet Forbidden – Struggle

I'm going to go out on a limb and declare this as THE metal release of 2007. I caught a set from these guys at Cornerstone this year and wow can they bring it. These guys are very, very tight and very, very good. A combination of brutal death and super fast technical thrash, Bombworks Records have added a classic to their already long list of fine releases. If you like "Synergy" era Extol then this cd is a must have. Click on cover for more info.
